itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>En el casco antiguo de la ciudad, donde un tiempo se encontraba el antiguo foro romano, Piazza Erbe, surge la Torre Lamberti.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Actualmente con sus 84 metros de altura y con sus numerosos cambios arquitect\u00f3nicos durante sus ochocientos a\u00f1os de historia, es el edificio m\u00e1s alto de Verona.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>La construcci\u00f3n se inici\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 1172 por deseo de la noble y misteriosa familia Lamberti, de la que no se ha vuelto a tener noticias. Se eligi\u00f3 el estilo rom\u00e1nico, t\u00edpico de la \u00e9poca, con ladrillos alternados a la toba, y que todav\u00eda se pueden ver en la parte baja de la construcci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>La Torre, que a su tiempo med\u00eda s\u00f3lo 37 metros, fue integrada en el Palacio del Consejo, edificado tras la instituci\u00f3n del <em>Libero Comune<\/em>. Se a\u00f1adieron, en el a\u00f1o 1295, dos campanas -la campana <em>Rengo<\/em> y la campana <em>Marangona-<\/em> y a partir de aqu\u00ed se la denomin\u00f3 \u201cTorre de las Campanas\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>En 1403 un rayo destruy\u00f3 la c\u00faspide, pero s\u00f3lo en el a\u00f1o 1448 comenzaron las largas obras de restauraci\u00f3n y elevamiento que se concluyeron diecis\u00e9is a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde con la construcci\u00f3n del campanario octogonal de ladrillos y m\u00e1rmol blanco.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>La Torre alcanz\u00f3, de esta manera, los actuales 84 metros de altura; sin embargo no ten\u00eda a\u00fan el aspecto con el que hoy la conocemos.<br \/>\nS\u00f3lo en 1795 se a\u00f1adi\u00f3 el reloj, colocado en sustituci\u00f3n del de la cercana Torre del Gardello que hab\u00eda dejado de funcionar.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Desde 1972, la torre ha estado abierta al p\u00fablico y puede subir hasta el primer nivel panor\u00e1mico
